A curated conversation to understand how these new technologies will change our lives, answer the question "what do I need to do about it?" and give you a place to start.

MARCH

Welcome

WE BEGAN this session exploring the impact of the emerging technologies in 3 domains. First at the global level, 2 massive projects that have never existed in human history before. The world’s largest deep water port, Shanghi Yanhson is completely automated with AI and robotics (see link to video below). Next we studied Neom: the Line City in Saudi Arabia that will be home to 9 million people in 2030. It will have no cars, no carbon emissions and everything will be in walking distance from you home. It is a completely avant-guard design employing several of the emerging technologies and is part of Saudi Arabia’s 2030 strategic plan for a post oil economy.

Next we prompted ChatGPT with this question, “Tell me what are 3 AI innovations that are helping the environment right now?” and it presented the forest guardians, precision agriculture and energy management. Try it out for yourself to see more detail.

Finally, we explored advances at the personal level with Brain.ai that has released its first product, natural.ai, the first generative interface. (see video in right column).

QUESTONS to consider:

  1. If you aren’t currently using ChatGPT when will you start?

  2. If you are using it, when will you be using it on a regular basis to add a greater scope of intelligence to all your work?

Advances using the Emerging Technologies:

Globally:

Environmentally:

  • We prompted CHATGPT to find out about how AI innovations are helping the environment. We found out about “forest guardians” which protect trees from illegal logging, smart farming techniques optimizing solar sensors to optimize watering and fertilization and energy management.

Personally:

Join us for our next session April 16th.

Cost: There is no charge for the series and donations are welcome. Suggested amount $25 - $100.
